Puppy Pictures as requested

Dinner and a Movie

We went to see The Dark Knight last night. Scott and some friends came with us. The movie theater that we went to also served dinner. YUM! It was fun (except my Whoppers were stale...boo). The theater was way more packed than I thought it would be. Seriously, who goes to the movies on a Tuesday night. Apparently a lot of people. Good thing we got there early. But, the movie was really good. You should see it! The Joker was really, really creepy. Sarah thought he was the creepiest character of all time because he made mouth noises the whole movie. HA! We were laughing that the language she needs to learn for the Peace Corps will be a whole language of mouth noises and clicks. I hope so!!!

Tonight we are going to TaeBo and then to the coffeehouse. Maybe I'll beat her again at Egyptian Rat Screw! WUAHAHAHA! Tomorrow night we are going to 'happy hour' at a tapas place. MMMMM!!! We're so excited!

Just another Manic Monday

Yesterday was the first day that Sarah went to the gym with me. It was SO FUN to have someone there with me. The first class we did was the 'Lunch Crunch'. We used the big core balls (wahoo!) and then a 5lb ,an 8lb, and 2 10lb weights. We did alot of arm workouts. Sarah said her arms were so tired that she couldn't pick up her lunch to eat it.

After that, we went to grab lunch. We went to a little place that was really close. Its a house that was converted into a restaurant. Its a really cute little place. I brought her there because this place has really good strawberry lemonade and the best onion rings on the planet. Seriously, I don't think I've ever had better onion rings. We had to order another order of them :) They would totally win in a Throw Down with Bobby Flay.

After work, we went back to the gym for Tae Bo. O man!! It was really intense yesterday. It was TaeBo in fast forward! Arms and legs flying everywhere!!! But, it was so fun!!! Sarah really liked it.

After we came home, we just stayed in. We hung out and relaxed for the evening. We did start looking up tattoos that we could both get. We thought about either the ugly dog thing or these butt waffles!! HAHA! (just kidding mom!) YIKES!!!

Lazy Sundays with Seesha

Yesterday, we headed to the beach for the majority of the day on the beach. It was WAY to stinkin' hot to lay out on the beach. There was absolutely NO breeze and a million percent humidity. So we spent most of they day in the water. This means that our faces and shoulders got burned because they were the only thing out of the water. (Yes Mom - we wore sunscreen...SPF 30). The water was really calm and actually looked blue (a rarity for here). There were these crazy fish that kept leapin out of the water. All around us, fish were leaping about 10 feet in the air. It was so strange. One was so close to me that I got splashed when it landed again. It almost hit me in the head. Sarah was rooting for the fish to land on my head. Scott said that those fish are called...MULLETS! (YES!) We packed a lunch and brought a cooler to the beach. We sat out and ate lunch on a blanket. We made the BEST SANDWICH EVER!! Sarah is still talking about it! YUM! If things don't work out, Sarah and I can always go into the sandwich business :)

We came home and got changed and headed to a local vineyard. On Sunday nights, they have music there. It was really fun. We just sat out on a bench and shared a bottle of wine. We just sat and talked, it was really relaxing. We laughed at all the adults out on the dance floor. They were hard core!! They all must have been a part of the same dance class. Our favorite one out there was a crazy guy with a MULLET! (Theme of the day) Imagine wine and redneck ballroom dancing! Excellent people watching. A little boy (about 2) was making eyes and flirting with Sarah the whole night. He was SO CUTE!

After we left, I dragged Sarah into my lab with me so that I could prepare for work today. We were really tired from being in the sun all day and drinking wine. We got home and went to bed! Sarah and Sammy are slowly fighting for space. WUAHAHAHA!!! Overall - really fun day!!!

long overdue

HELLO!!! Remember me...Yes mom, I'm writing for you... :)

And yes...that is Sammy after he just woke up in the morning...he's not really a morning dog.

Let's see...we've had a whole lot of excitment. Maxy long dog decided that climbing out the bedroom window onto the roof was a good idea. He got really panicky and finally jumped back in the window...after he thought about jumping off. But, he decided that it was kind of fun and still checks the window everyday to see if he can get out again (Thanks mom for the screens :D) Rosie and the puppies played outside today. There was only one issue. Rosie sniffed Maxy's little butt today and then started chasing him around doing a little 'wiggle'. O my word...it was funny. Apparently she was a little confused on boy and girl roles in her old age (she's 70 in people years). So much for 'you can't teach an old dog new tricks'. We laughed so hard!!!
Also, my puppies are meshing into one dog and picking up each other's habits...look at Sammy after he discovered Max's favorite spot to sleep.

Max the Wolverine

Scott and I were talking about Max's unusual habit of flipping on his back to chew on things. Its really funny to watch...he lays down, picks up his Nyla-bone, and slowly tips over. He looks like he has hands when he holds it between his paws. The other day, he was chewing on the Nyla-bone, upside-down of course, and got distracted. He was holding the little bone above his head and was looking around. He looked left, then right, then behind him, then left again...all while holding the bone above his head between his paws...I was like 'how are you holding that'. Then he went back to chewing on it. Well, according to Scott, wolverines eat porcupines this way. Apparently, wolverines either grab porcupines by the nose and flip them over or they grab the porcupine and and lay on their backs to eat it. That way, they can eat the little soft belly without eating the prickly part. Hmmmm...what do you think...Max is pretending that all his toys are porcupines?
PS - after looking at pictures of porcupines...I want one! Except I'd be afraid Max would try to eat it!
