Scott and I were talking about Max's unusual habit of flipping on his back to chew on things. Its really funny to watch...he lays down, picks up his
Nyla-bone, and slowly tips over. He looks like he has hands when he holds it between his paws. The other day, he was chewing on the Nyla-bone, upside-down of course, and got distracted. He was holding the little bone above his head and was looking around. He looked left, then right, then behind him, then left again...all while holding the bone above his head between his paws...I was like 'how are you holding that'. Then he went back to chewing on it. Well, according to Scott,
wolverines eat
porcupines this way. Apparently, wolverines either grab
porcupines by the nose and flip them over or they grab the porcupine and and lay on their backs to eat it. That way, they can eat the little soft belly without eating the prickly part. Hmmmm...what do you think...Max is pretending that all his toys are porcupines?
PS - after looking at pictures of porcupines...I want one! Except I'd be afraid Max would try to eat it!
